Babies and young children require a larger space to perform testing than a regular sound booth. Due to space restrictions within the clinic, we can only offer hearing test for children from 4 years upwards.

Signs of loss

Its important to identify hearing problems as early as possible because they can affect your child’s speech and language development, social skills and education.

Below are some examples of what you should look out for:

  • Limited, poor or no speech
  • Frequently inattentive
  • Learning difficulties
  • Higher TV volumes
  • Failing to respond to conversation or giving inappropriate answers
  • Frequent ear infections or persistent middle ear fluid
